- 4 firm, ripe pears, peeled, halved, and cored
- 10 cups mesclun or torn romaine
- 2/3 cup dried tart cherries or dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup broken walnuts, toasted
- Champagne Vinaigrette* (see recipe below)
