Ingredients

  • 2-3/4 cups  all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons  baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon  salt
  • 1-1/2 cups  sugar
  • 2   eggs
  • 2   egg yolks
  • 6 tablespoons  butter, melted
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons  finely shredded orange or lemon peel (optional)
  • 1 cup  coarsely chopped almonds
