Apple & Nut Pie


  • 1   refrigerated ready-rolled piecrust (from a 2-crust, 15-ounce package)
  • 1-1/4 cups  packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 cup  all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick)  unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup  chopped walnuts
  • 3   Granny Smith apples (about 1-1/2 pounds), peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  •   Vanilla ice cream (optional)
