  • 1/2 cup  light-colored corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup  margarine or butter
  • 1 cup  packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon  vanilla
  • 1 cup  dry-roasted peanuts or other nuts (plain peanuts, pecans, or cashews)
