3 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup cocoa powder , sifted
1 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups cake flour (not self-rising)
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 1/2 cups hot water
