Mom's favorite cake, easy and quick, but very sweet, also makes great cupcakes
Beat eggs stiff, add sugar slowly while beating. Sift cake flour and baking powder, add slowly. Heat milk and butter to boiling point, and add to batter, mix in vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 for 40 minutes. Cupcakes bake for 20 minutes.
While cake is still in pan and hot, spread with the following frosting. Heat brown gusgar, butter & cream to boiling point, add nuts and coconut. Mix well and spread on cake. Return to oven. Bake about 8 minutes
